BEATS ANTIQUE
So a little over two weeks ago my friend and I got hooked up with a pair of tickets to see Beats Antique, and BATHS at Club Nokia in LA. I was so excited, I hadn't been to Club Nokia since my 17th Birthday to see Peter Bjorn & John and Lykke Li. We arrived during Baths set and I got to hear a couple of my favorites songs by him, and he was absolutely amazing. The beats he uses and sounds are just pure bliss when live and loud. Then the Beats Antique show was so different and fun. I had seen them at Coachella 2012, and it's one thing to hear them in an open field, but I gotta say I think I liked them more in Club Nokia. the sound was much better. Also, their sound is really like no other band, you can hear a million indie bands but really there is only one kind of Beats Antique. Truly talented musicians there.
I definitely recommend going to ANY concerts that Goldenvoice or The Do Lab are a part of, those to are great music productions and know how to present amazing shows.

DIVINE FITS
I had a moment of pure excitement, and I don't know what to do with myself. I just discovered Divine Fits earlier this week. it is the SUPER GROUP of amazing amazing musicians. Dan Boeckner (Wolfparade and Handsome Furs), and Brit Daniel (SPOON)!!!) a.k.a. one of my long time favorite bands and Alex Fischel, and Sam Brown. I'm not familiar with the last two musicians but I do know they are great because the new Divine Fits album is pure gold. They have two shows coming up in LA, one at the forever cemetery, and one at the echo (my favorite venue). Both unfortunately are sold out, but I WILL find a way to go to their show at the echo. I must go. I will try to get there when the doors open, and buy tickets there. If anyone is reading this and has some outlet of getting me a pair of tickets please don't hold back. Get in touch with me cause it's going to a great show, I really don't want to miss.

KANKOURAN
Alright! I heard their song Rivers on UK Skins episode, and just fell in love with it. Kankouran is an Unsigned UK band with 5 lads. Other than that I don't know that much about them, I do know that I like their songs Rivers, and It's Alright, Follow. You can get their song on BandCamp (link above). US Open Concerts
Last Friday I saw TV on the Radio, and Toro y Moi at the US Open!!
Luckily I got VIP for the concert and avoided the INSANE crowds. People were getting so rowdy at the show, it was ridiculousness.

TIGERHEAT THURSDAYS
Last Thursday we went to Avalon in LA to Tigerheat on Thursdays! It was a girls night and so much fun!! I even go to dance on a table thing! (this picture is when I was on a table top thing). Tigerheat is just a fun dance party, with Go-Go Dancers!!
Billabong Design for Humanity
I know this happened a while back, but I wanted to share my night when I went to Billabong Design for Humanity! I had gotten tickets through my friends work. It was such a nice night in Paramount Studios.
Bands like The Lumineers, Walk the Moon, and others played. There was a Billabong bathing suit fashion show, which had the CUTEST bathing suits ever! I wanted to snatch a pair. I hope you enjoy my (few) photos!

LAST NIGHT AT EL REAY THEATER
Last night was beyond one of the greatest nights ever! Saint Motel killed it last night. I have probably seen them over 10 times and every concert is just such a blast! I had gotten a pair of tickets through LA Weekly, so not only was it an epic concert, it was free. I love free. I wanted to buy their new album so I can support them some how, but I was to busy dancing to go to the merch table. I think when I see them at the Observatory in August, I will purchase their new album Voyeur! Explanation for the bloody toe; during their last song they let fans climb onto the stage. I of course didn't hesitate to climb that. I did and when I was on stage I had stubbed my toe on the guitarist's amp, I was so amped (pun intended) being on stage that it didn't even hurt! Got to congratulate the lead singer and guitarist on a great show right after the curtains fell. That was icing on the cake.
Also, I was oober bummed I got to the El Rey at 9:20 pm and I had missed Chasing Kings! I thought for sure they were going on at 9pm so I thought being 20 minutes late was no big thing. Apparently they went on before Princeton, and I missed them! This is now my third tempt to go see them in concert and I miss their set completely! I swear, one day I will see their set.
