WEENIE ROAST 2012

COLDPLAY

What a great night! My work was here and I had gotten to go and bring a friend with me to Weenie Roast 2012 in Irvine. I have been wanting to see Coldplay for the longest time, but I'm not able to throw done over $50 to see them.. So instead I got to see them for FREE! I saw yesterday Sounds Garden, Silversun Pickups (which I saw the night before as well), The Offspring, and Incubus. ALL FREE!

I love having hook ups to be able to do this, that won't ever get old. surprisingly I knew a bunch of The Offspring songs, which I wasn't expecting to know. I fell in love with the lead singer of Incubus, I loved his vibe and him! Coldplay was unbelievable, such an epic show. I loved seeing them in an outside theater. Something about listening to Coldplay while dancing under the moon and stars is so beautiful. Also when they played Yellow and "look up at the stars and see how they shine for you" I was looking up at the stars, yes I know I am cheese ball.

I can't wait for next year Weenie Roast 2013.

SILVERSUN PICKUPS

Last night was AMAZING! My friend and I got tickets to see Silversun Pickups, yesterday morning when they released a couple tickets for a couple of hours. It is ridiculous how close we got to the stage, literally one step away from being on the stage! I felt so VIP when we're on the side. I could have touched them I was so close to them! I have seen them before at Coachella in 2009, but I didn't really know who they were at the time (I was young naive 16 year old). I was alone and lost when I saw them so I didn't get to REALLY appreciate their music. Last night though was superb, I knew every song, it was such a blast. After the show we waited on the side to see if we could meet them. AND WE DID! They're the nicest people, so cool. I introduced myself, and Brian and Nikki both were so nice. I would definitely go see them again.

I am seeing them again tonight actually at the Weenie Roast! I will post all about how I get to go for FREE.

Beach Fossils is such a great band, I mean really!! They are a Brooklyn based band that formed in 09. Their music is the kinda music you can't help but to jive and dance too. I am so excited, my friend and I are going to their show May 17th at The Echo in LA (One of my FAVORITE venues in LA). Anyways, I just wanted to share with you their music because it is just something everyone should be listening too!

MINNESOTA

Last weekend when I was at Coachella I planned on seeing Calvin Harris and was so amped on it, but instead I got blitzed and my friends took me to the Do Lab. They are huge fans of Minnesota! I am so glad I went to see his set, it was by far one of the greatest music discoveries over my Chella weekend. I had the best time. So many people around me were dancing, feeling the music, and the vibes were incredible. I lost it, I went crazy when he played California Dreamin' and his remix of Rolling in the Deep. I am so happy I missed Calvin Harris for Minnesota. I want to go to another show and go crazy. Since last Sunday I have been listening to his music non stop even playing it in my store.. a baby punk store.

I totally recommend taking a listen to his music and seeing him live!
