The Living Statues are an authentic rock ‘n’ roll band from
Milwaukee, Wisconsin; the band consists of three lads paying guitar, vocals,
drums, and bass. Their new EP Knockin’ reminds me of a Strokes album, with
Tommy Shears voice (which sounds a bit like Julian Casablancas) and a raw
upbeat sort of rock. Back in 2013 these guys have performed along side with The
Vaccines, Hanni El Khatib, Best Coast and Mayer Hawthorne. The recently released
Knockin’ EP was recorded at Converse Rubber Tracks in Brooklyn, NY. Below is a free download link to The LivingStatues’ Knockin’ EP, I highly recommend giving these guys a listen. I will
keep an eye out for future shows in the Los Angeles area!
