The song that won me over is Trip, I picture myself chillaxing on the beach, or going on a road trip while blasting their songs. Vacationer has a gig in Los Angeles in October at the Henry Fonda Theater! I think I might go to that, sounds like it would be a grand ol' time.

Midnight Red, I like to call them the American boy band version of The Wanted. Recently I see a growing boy band population, and I gotta say I love it! Who doesn't like a group of good looking men singing and dancing in unison! The hansom band includes Joey Diggs Jr., Thomas Augusto, Colton Ruldoff, Anthony Lado, and Eric Secharia. They are going on tour with New Kids On the Block/Backstreet Boys this summer! I hope they go on their own tour sometime too, so I could see a gig in a smaller venue!
Check them out on iTunes!

Much over due blog post about Azealia Banks, she is an american rapper/singer from Harlem, New York. I was at a club in LA last night and her song 212 came on and I lost it! It is just one of the best songs to dance too! I missed her at coachella 2012 but I want to make it a goal to see her live this year. I have too.

I told myself I wouldn't like this song, but I can't help it! I love it!! I first listened to the song with the music video last night at a gay club in L.A. and it was AMAZING! Can't believe I am saying this but I have a slight crush on Justin Bieber! WHO AM I?

So stoked to hear new songs! Since I saw YAWN live in March (The Kooks Show) I can't stop listening to their music. So good! I just want them to have more shows in Los Angeles, because they were so amazing live & loud. Hoping to see them play some time soon, and maybe at my favorite venue at the Echoplex. Is that to picky to choose the venue? haha It would be rad though.

Almost every Tuesday at the UCB Theatre Doug Benson does a free comedy/podcast show! This is such a great time, and it's free so you really can't lose there. I have been going to almost everyone of Doug Loves Movies with my friends, and my friend Stephen who is the oober fan of these kind of podcast and comedy shows. What we do is get to the theater semi early to get in line to get a good spot in the Theatre (extremely tiny room), and then right after you just wait for the next show (if you bought tickets) for Comedy Bang!Bang!. Last nights Doug Loves Movies podcast/show was THE BEST one by far! In the picture from left to right is Doug Benson, Jeff Garlin, Pete Holmes, and TJ Miller. It was the funniest podcast, Doug Benson could barely put a word in, those guys were so high energy, and hilarious. AND to hear Jeff Garlin laugh was the best, his laugh is priceless. You MUST check out this podcast on itunes, it is worth the listen, and laughs.

Saint Motel is giving you guys a FREE DOWNLOAD of Benny Goodman via Soundcloud. If you're to lazy to click the link, I have the free download in this post! I recommend downloading the song, it is really good, and it just makes me so excited for their new album to come out called the Voyeur out on July 10th. If you want to buy the album, you can pre-order it on itunes!! I think I am going to buy their album when I go to the show at the Constellation Room in Santa Ana in August.

I forgot how much I LOVE Sia! Her song You've Changed came on my ipod the other day and I have seriously been playing that song on repeat since then. I follow Sia on twitter and hang on almost every tweet she writes. I am probably her worst number one fan, I love her to pieces but I have yet bought a CD, nor been to one of her shows. I am horrible! I am making it a goal for myself to go to her show next time she has a gig in LA. I hope it is soon, and tickets are some what affordable. Sia is amazing, and an artist I look up too. She has incredible talent.

Let's not forgot the music video/song that made me fall in love with her work.

Tavi Gevinson at age 16 has been to more fashion weeks than I will ever dream of getting to go too. She is an incredibly accomplished and ever learning fashion enthusiast. An American fashion blogger since she was 13, and editor of Rookie Magazine since 15. One of the main reasons why I adore her work so much is that she wears what she wants to wear, and isn't afraid to wear those pieces that most people are to afraid to wear. I often as much will buy pieces and never wear them out of my house because I am to afraid to be wear in public. EXAMPLE: I have these uhmazing leopard leggings I purchased over a year ago, I only wear them around my house and never worn in public. I would LOVE to wear them in public, but I am to afraid to wear them. I think the only time I would ever wear them would to do a meet and greet with Tavi Gevinson, even then I would be so nervous. What I find so interesting about her is that she wears most things that I would LOVE to wear in public but just to afraid too (that's sad on my part). After scrolling and going to page to next page on her blog, I am trying to find the courage to wear more pieces that will make people think (WTF) when I wear them.
I think the whole point of fashion, is to express how you feel, and to wear what you want to wear. To have fun with it. There really are no rules when it comes to fashion, only restraints on how far you're willing to take your look.

I said the next time Crystal Fighters play a show in the LA area I would go see them, and who would of guessed they play two days after I saw them at the echoplex, that they would be playing for free 10 mins away from my home! Of course I went to their show! I really enjoyed it because it was acoustic, and the same songs I love dancing too sound completely (AMAZINGLY) different. More of a mellow vibe, and something you can just relax too. I am so happy I got to go to their 4 song set at Fingerprints. I can't wait for them to come to America!
xx Till next time xx

Some photos of IS TROPICAL at their show at the Echoplex with Crystal Fighters! I am so mad at myself for not taking more pictures, but I think these are the finer ones of when I was taking pictures. I was to busy dancing with strangers that loved their music as much as I do. I had such a blast during their show, I wish their set was longer though! I felt like it was litchally two seconds, could have been because of the drinks I had but I know they have SO many more uhmazing songs. I could dance all night to their music.

Check out Vimes, an electronic duo from Cologne, Germany. My favorite song is Neglect, really has some smooth beats. Also their new song Take My Breath Away, is a great song! I can only imagine being at a live set, and how amazing the sound must be. After searching youtube, and watching some of their live sets I think their shows would be fun! Their use of visuals during live sets, with their music I can see myself just dancing and feeling the vibes. I recommend checking them out live. I would totally go to one of their shows if they ever came to Los Angeles. If they do, I would love to see them perform at the Echoplex  (favorite venue) for sure, that venue reminds me of their kind of sound.

I had such a great time at the Echoplex last night! I saw Crystal Fighters, and to my luck I got to get literally on stage. I danced the whole night and jazzed with some great friends.

Lo-Fi-Fnk consists of Leonard Drougge, and August Hellsing. They're described as Swedish indie-house, and have been making music together since 2001. My two favorite songs by them are Kissing Taste, and Shut the World Out. They have also done many remixes from artists like, Foster the People, Yelle, Architecture in Helsinki, and The Radio Dept.. Their music is great to dance too, and really puts me in an up beat mood! On my search for free downloads for you guys I found four free downloads but was unsuccessful myself to figure out how to download them, so here HERE is the link. Maybe you will have better luck.

What a great find on Pandora! Lescop is a French artist, his work makes me just want to dance. His song La Foret is the song that won me over, right after hearing the song I looked up the music video, and it was so good. I don't know to much about this artists, I hope to hear more from him though. Also, if there is ever a US tour, and if there is a gig in Los Angeles you can count me in. It would be such a great little dance party!
I wish I could give you guys free download of La Foret, but I couldn't find a free download link. Just have to take this mix thanks to Kitsune that has some of Lescop's work on it.

DRUGZNDREAMZ Remix for the IS TROPICAL track "Land of the NoD"

In spirit and pure excitement for IS TROPICAL show on Tuesday in silver lake, I wanted to share this free download. Their song Land of the NoD is remixed by Drugzndreamz and talented remix producer. This song gets me amped for when I start my nights, and should be the anthem for late summer nights, because it gives me energy and makes me want to dance! I am too excited for their show, the first time I saw them was so random and I had no idea who they were, and now I love them and know majority of their songs. Can't wait to dance at the echo.

The Virgins recently came out with some new songs, and I for one LOVE them. I have been listening to their music for a long time now, like when Myspace was cool.. These four lads are all from New York and they formed in 2006. I remember hearing them on the very first episode of Gossip Girl, and was in love with the song, Rich Girls. I really hope this band plays some gigs in Los Angeles because last I heard them having a show I was 16 and it was at a 21+ bar in San Diego! It was horrible, I wanted to sneak in the bar but my parents wouldn't have their 16 year old kid drive to San Diego! so lame. So now I am still waiting patiently for them to have a gig, I think they should play at The Echo or Echoplex (Below the Echo). That's my favorite venue in LA. PLEASE do a show hear. I think it would be a great venue!
Check out their new song Venus in Chains, I love it. After taking a Greek Mythology class I catch their references to Aphrodite.

This is one of my favorite songs.

Chateaubriand produced another great remix, and since it's free to download I thought I would share this track with you guys! It's a remix of Bibio - Lover's Craving.
